We specialise in 1940s music & also provide our lively ‘Through The Decades’ show with hits up to 80s for a more lively party
Hello! We are The Barn-Ettes.
We have all been involved in the performing arts industry individually for many years on various acting, singing and dancing projects and whilst working together in a theatrical production in Hertfordshire a few years back, we discovered a shared love of The Andrews Sisters, Wartime music, Motown, ABBA, retro fashion, vintage costumes and possibly most exciting of all......harmonies!!
We work tirelessly on our harmonies, costumes, choreography, and hair styles to ensure that we bring the most authentic experience to every audience member, whether that be to 15 people, or 500!
There are obviously so many inspirations for us, including the infamous Andrews Sisters, Vera Lynn, Glenn Miller, Peggy Lee, Elvis, The Marvelettes, The Ronettes, Diana Ross, Cher, Abba, Queen, Elton John and many more.
The 1940s stars were so influential in their era and brought so much light and joy to individuals, couples and families during the war and dark times. Having this wonderful music in this time was what kept people going and we fully intend to keep this feeling alive.
Moving up to our 'Through The Decades' show, our influences are endless and so we try and incorporate as many artists as we can to provide a wonderful variety for all audiences.
We have two shows:
'The 1940's' - which is fantastic for wartime and remembrance events and also vintage and themed events/parties/weddings. Music from the 40's is very special and fits perfectly with so many occasions.
'Through The Decades' - which sees us exploring the most popular songs from each decade from the 40s up to the 80s, with a change of costume for each era and choreography to match.
We are a very adaptable trio and can fit into or fill any space you may be working with. We can be booked alone with backing tracks or with our wonderful band which can vary in size depending on your preference.
